Cynthia Proietti

I earned a BA in Sociology, with a minor in Social Work, from SUNY Oswego.  After working a few years at the Oswego County Dept of Social Services, I stayed at home to raise my three children with my husband Dave.

After returning to the workforce, I taught gym at OCCS, and then worked as a Teaching assistant for several years while our children attended OCCS.

After working at OCCS I became employed at Oswego County BOCES (now Citi BOCES) Adult Education Department as a case manager for vocational programs, and then became the Program Manager of the Adult Literacy programs throughout the county. During my tenure at the BOCES, I became certified to teach adult education, and eventually was promoted to an administrative position as Assistant Director of Adult Education.

Even though it has been a number of year since being a part of OCCS, I never lost my love of this ministry and was happy to return in 2018-2019 to teach Art to grades 3-6.  I am delighted to be teaching Science and Bible for grades 5-8 since 2019.  Every day is a wonderful adventure.
