I received a Bachelor’s degree in social work from Nazareth College. My professional experience includes office management, counseling, and running a daycare. I also bring a vast skillset to OCCS through my life experiences, not the least of which was home-schooling all four of our children from pre-school through high school. My husband and I have hosted five foreign exchange students, which has opened the world to us and deepened our life experience. My love for God and for children has been the constant in my life for over 30 years.
As I have acquired a greater awareness of the learning priorities for preschoolers, I have embraced the concept of learning while playing. I find that learning through games and play (we go outdoors almost every day) is the best way for young children to learn some of the most important lessons. Activities that provide the opportunities to teach positive character traits and guide their social development are important for future academic success – all of this in the safety of a secure and caring environment.
